Here's one I have been working on. It's really vivid and organic feeling. I aim to make each of my decorative abstract paintings with a strong and fluid pallet of color throughout. I like to imagine being able to take an inch off of each and be able to find a separate little painting inside making every inch interesting to view. I'm not afraid of a bold red, this is a great example of it, a pop of color to create interest and divide the space evenly. As fluid and natural as it feels to create these, I do feel an almost mathematical process in finding the spaces and deciding how to divide it. I think it's important as an artist to explore different techniques and comfort zones, I know I learn far more from making different kinds of artwork from time to time.
